I attended my first Blog Conference hosted by Go Blog Social Friday and Saturday.

It was fun, energizing and eye-opening!

I had no idea there were so many Kansas City Bloggers.  This conference was not just for Kansas City though, there were Bloggers from coast to coast in attendance.

I learned SO MUCH and have so much I want to share, but this is what I looked up before attending my first conference, so it’s what I am going to share first:

What I wore: Day 1…

Blouse HERE; Jeans HERE; Jacket (SIMILAR); Shoes (old, Dillard’s); Necklace (HERE); Watch (HERE)<< My watch was purchased at Nordstrom during 1/2 off sale, but Amazon was the only place I could find my exact watch.; Tank (old TJ Maxx)

Here’s the deal, you are going to be sitting A LOT and you are going to be standing and networking A LOT so wear something comfortable and that makes you feel confident.

What I wore: Day 2….

Blouse (old, Apricot Lane); White tank slip (HERE); White jeans (old, Chico’s); Shoes (old, Nurture @ Dillards); long necklace (HERE); short necklace (Stella & Dot); Gold Watch (HERE); Bracelet (HERE); Jean Jacket (Calvin Klein and I’m pretty sure it’s from 1991!)

What I brought with me: Day 1….

Large Purse (Miche); notebook, Quest Bar, iPhone, pens (2); Stress Away Essential Oil (use my #1761901 when ordering), Owl pouch with phone charger, camera battery charger and extra battery, Water bottle, iPad, Pouch with hand lotion, lip balm, gum, Advil, Hair clip, lip gloss, lip shine, pouch with business cars that was big enough to hold new business cards from other bloggers, wallet with I.D. and a little cash and some change. Oh, and my big, Canon camera that I used to take this picture so it’s not in it!

What I brought with me: Day 2….

All of what was listed above except the iPad. I didn’t pull it out once as I prefer to take written notes, so I left that home and carried a smaller bad on the second day.

What was in the swag bag….

Not only were Rawxies provided for FREE, Callie England, the owner and CEO, was there and shared her experience of going from a Blogger to a business owner.  She presented a lot of good information, especially for those in the audience launching a new product or trying to figure out how to balance a blog and a business and if it might be time to let go of the blog.

Tomorrow I am going to share some links to all of the amazing bloggers I met through this experience.  I know we all like to help one another out and share the love.  Plus, I am always looking for new blogs, so I know you are too!
