Daily Structure

I bounced out of bed at 5am yesterday.

Bounced might be a slight exaggeration because I was sore as heck from Crossfit, but in my miiiiind I bounced out of bed.

I have always been a morning person.  I wake up and I am truly happy to be awake. As soon as my eyes open, my brain starts going and I get excited about the day.

I think that’s why I am so eager to get out of bed because I have so much to look forward to in the day.

While I drink my coffee, and after I have stared at Facebook for way too long, this is the form I use to plan my day.

I love structure.

I know two things to be true about each day.

1. I have to work.  There are no choices to be made here.  There are specific things I have to do every single day. Period.

2. Every other minute of the day that is not work, I have a choice in what I do.

So, when I am planning out my day, I start with what workout I am going to do.  Then what I am going to eat throughout the day (the hard part is following the plan I make in the hours before day light!).  Finally, what hobby I am going to enjoy!

Yesterday’s Workout

Crossfit – warm up, instruction on form for the various lifts, baseline workout for time

  • Quest Bar
  • Panera’s Broccoli Cheese Soup and 1/2 Turkey with Cranberry Sandwich
  • Panera’s Autumn Squash Soup and 1/2 Turkey with Cranberry Sandwich

Obviously, yesterday’s meal plan did not pan out!

Life is what YOU make it.  I love waking up every day because I LOVE living the life I created.

I hope you do too!
