October Recap

It’s only November 5th. Is it too late to do an October recap?

Piper and Sara are still running the house.

Until Brutis walks in the room.

I already mentioned in my previous post that we visited some friends in Carlsbad, CA , but it was so fun it deserves another mention!IMG_6491

Plus, I wanted to give you this a close up of my neck.

Crocheting is in full swing.  There is just something about cooler temperatures that makes me want to cuddle up with yarn.

Cooler temps also bring back to the kitchen butternut squash and roasted brussel sprouts.

I like to cube the butternut squash raw and then roast it for my soup. MAN, do I fear for my life and fingers trying to cut that baby up!

I spent October surrounding myself with fun activities with friends.

Spending time with friends is good for the soul!

I went and visited this guy!  I made the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle hat for him for his Halloween costume.  He is getting so big and constantly on the move!  It’s hard to get a clear picture of him.

Justin was still playing golf in October.  We have had BEAUTIFUL weather!

And we wrapped up the month with a night out in Kansas City!  We started the day with some shopping at the outlet stores at The Legends, then headed down to Crown Center where we enjoyed dinner at the American and spent the night at the Sheraton.

My outfit: Necklace was purchased at Marciano Guess; tank, sweater and faux leather pants were purchased at Apricot Lane; and boots were purchased at Dillards years ago.

The following morning we hit the hotel gym together and then enjoyed our day by visiting my sister and eating pizza and ice cream!

Gym Outfit: shirt and pants from Nike

Day Outfit: Sweater and faux leather pants purchased at Apricot Lane, socks were a Christmas present, boots from Aldo.

I hope everyone had a fun October filled with everyone you love!  I sure did!
