Today is 11/12/13!
But we aren’t here to talk about today.
Yesterday
started with a hot bowl of awesome!
After breakfast and getting everyone up and out of here for the day. We headed to the gym. Tionna and I did legs.
I have to admit…….
I don’t love squats.
I especially don’t love back squats that are not in a smith machine. But, after watching Tionna do squats last week while I was over there in the comfort of the smith machine doing mine, I decided to put on my big girl panties and do some squats out in the open, big, wide world.
There isn’t a lot of weight on that bar, but it’s a confidence thing right now. I need to build my confidence before I start adding weight. And, honestly, as long as my ass ends up looking the way I want it to, I don’t really care how much I can squat.
After the gym, we were all starving and headed to Hy-Vee to raid their food bar. I ended up with Chinese food which I promptly slammed down my throat and didn’t take a picture of….it looked like Chinese food.
Later in the afternoon, I got busy prepping some food.
Ground turkey with taco seasoning.
Cilantro, lime brown rice.
Chicken breast sliced up and cooked in a little olive oil and pepper.
Stir Fry veggies. Broccoli, asparagus and red bell pepper.
I also have zucchini and mushrooms to stir fry today.
Dinner was much more delicious than lunch!
So, my thinking is we can make burrito bowl type meals with the rice and ground turkey. We just need to add some black beans, lettuce, salsa and plain green yogurt.
And we can make Chinese type meals with the chicken, veggies and then I am going to make some more brown rice with peas in it. Add a splash of gluten free soy sauce and WA-LAH!!
Justin and I tucked in for the night and watched TV and gave back rubs. Always a good way to end the day!
