Hi friends!
I am still alive!
I have been pretty absent in blogland but if you follow me on Instagram (karatenurse) or Facebook, you know that I am enjoying the summer and training hard with Tionna! She is in prep for the WBFF Worlds in Vegas! She’s a Pro and has her focus set on that WORLD CHAMP!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful June! We are definitely feeling the summer heat in Kansas City and I LOVE IT! You will not hear me complaining about it being too hot.
Yesterday
Started with a 3 mile run, followed by a 1 mile walk with Piper and Sara.
Once we were home, I made oats and egg whites (1/2 cup plain, gluten free oats, 1 whole egg + 3/4 cup egg whites)
I was super hungry yesterday, so before Tionna and I headed to the gym, I ate one slice of gluten free bread with some PB2 and jelly.
Meal #3, post workout, was a smoothie: banana, frozen berries, spinach, protein powder, PB2, almond milk.
Meal #4 was not long after because I was so hungry yesterday. Like an hour after that smoothie, I felt like I hadn’t eaten in days! So salad was up next. There is just something about summer time and salads.
I can not get enough.
In the mix: Organic herb blend, kale, broccoli slaw, shredded brussel sprouts, roasted red bell peppers, grilled chicken (2 oz breast, 2 oz thigh), sunflower seeds, black olives, green olives, Newman’s Own Oil/Vinegar dressing, quinoa.
Meal #5…SALAD! Same exact salad! Freaking LOVE IT!
Go eat it.
Once Tionna was done with training clients, we headed to yoga. Where I sweat about 5 pounds of water out of my body for an hour.
So. Much. Sweat.
It was glorious. I really wish I would have taken a picture after that class.
We headed back to the gym after yoga to finish up our back/calves/abs workout.
So, if you are keeping track, I went through FOUR workout outfits yesterday. Someonecomedomylaundry. I sweat so much there is NO WAY I can re-wear anything EVER!
It’s unfair.
Remember this guy?
Wellllll, he is also training hard! Stay tuned for his transformation pictures/story. He is training with Tionna, going to yoga and taking daily walks at one of our local nature sanctuaries. Most importantly, he has totally cleaned up his diet.
Super proud of him!
