I bought myself a gas grill. I bought it all by myself and put it together and grilled some food. All by myself.
Nothing fancy. Just a simple gas grill that is waiting for me to cook a single chicken breast whenever I get the whim!
There has been an ongoing argument around here about the grilling situation. Justin prefers a charcoal grill over a gas grill.
I just want some grilled food.
I don’t really care how the food gets grilled, but charcoal and lighter fluid scare me a little. So, Justin has always done the grilling.
Except, conditions have to be perfect in order for Justin to grill. The weather needs to be warm, but not hot, no wind, not a cloud in the sky, birds must be chirping and he must be in the mood to drink a beer. And if he has done pretty much anything else all day long, he does not feel like grilling.
I just want some grilled food.
I also don’t want to forget that once he gets everything going, you better believe that anything in the fridge that is able to lay on the grill, is going on the grill!
I get it. It’s always delicious when he’s done. It’s takes some effort to grill on charcoal so he wants to make the most of it.
But, sometimes, I don’t want to watch him grill for 4 hours, I just want a chicken breast. Just one. And maybe some asparagus.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
Okay, so that’s a little more than one chicken breast.
It was delicious and Justin was happy because I cooked him ribeyes.
So that was Wednesday.
Thursday’s Workout
I started the day by meeting over at my friend’s house at 6am and going for a run. We went 4.5 miles and it was fun and a great way to start the day.
I also lifted some weights! I know it’s crazy. It’s been like three months!
It wasn’t much and it was quick, but I’m actually sore this morning. I think my body is in shock.
3 sets, 12 reps
- flat bench chest press with dumb bells
- flat bench overhead triceps extension with one dumb bell
- cable lat pull downs
- bicep curls with dumb bells
Meals
Meal #1: Oats with protein and a banana
Meal #2: Two whole eggs and a two cuties
Meal #3: Grilled chicken breast and chicken sausage with veggies
Meal #4: Same as above!
Meal #5: Grilled chicken breast and chicken sausage. I grilled some fresh asparagus and red bell pepper. I had eaten most of the asparagus before I remembered to take the darn picture!
