Yesterday started with a gym date with my friend, Noreen, again. One of these days I’ll remember to get a picture of her!
In the mean time, here’s a cute picture of Piper from this morning. We got a little dusting of snow last night, which totally surprised me when I opened the door this morning.
And Sara:
I can’t forget Brutis:
Back to yesterday, Noreen taught a step class at 8:15am that I had planned on taking but I didn’t get to the gym until 8:45. The gym was extra sweaty yesterday morning (warm AND moist….just makes me more crazy about germs and airborne yuckies). I made sure and washed my hands for a full 20 seconds after that workout! Did you know it takes the minimum of 20 seconds to start washing away the yucky from your hands?
Workout
Instead of the step class, I hopped on a treadmill:
- jogged 10 minutes
- 20 minutes:
- 2 minutes: 15% incline at 3.5mph
- 1 minute: 0% incline 3.5mph
- jogged 5 minutes
We met up after her class, grabbed some dumb bells and hit the track.
- The track is an 1/8 of a mile. We did work for half the distance and then walked with our weights for the other half.
- Walking lunges with dumb bells
- Walking lunges with overhead press using a medicine ball
- Walking lunges with a twist using a medicine ball
- 3 sets
- leg press
- 10 reps with feet hip distance apart
- 10 reps with wide stance and toes pointed out
- seated calf raises – reps: 12
- sumo squats with dumb bell – reps: 15, 15, 30
- leg press
Meals
Meal #1: Gluten free oats with protein powder
Meal #2: Gluten free toast with peanut butter
Meal #3: Tilapia taco salad
Meal #4: Oh, the dreaded 3 o’clock hour. I was so sore, tired and nauseous by this time of the day that I got cranky and desperate. I ate two hot dogs on regular bread with mustard and ketchup along with a sleeve of club crackers.
There was a lot of whining to Justin, who told me to drink some water. After downing a couple of bottles I started feeling much better. I should have whined to him earlier.
I wasn’t very hungry the rest of the day but Justin had put some country ribs in the crock pot that morning, so I had a taste of those when they were done.
I was in bed pretty early last night.
Hi there!. Omg I love your photos. What kind of camera do you have?. I really love the photo of Brutis.... I can see it making a gorgeous painting (I paint as a hobby!). Would you be keen to let me use it as a reference for a painting? Hope that's not too forward, but there's something about the light, the snow, and his fur...Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have a Canon RebelXT (it's almost 6 years old). I love it! Yes, of course, you can use that picture. I would love to see the painting when you are finished!
DeleteThank you... Yes will definately show you the end results!. You definately have a photographic eye... Just love the daily pics. :)
