It’s early Sunday morning. It’s dark and cold outside. So dark and cold that the girls don’t even want to go outside yet.
They are snuggle up on the couch. I know I’ve said it before, but I love this time of day.
But, I’m not here to talk about today. Let’s talk about yesterday!
Yesterday started with play time in the back yard. It was 10 degrees, but they needed to get some energy out!
At some point, Sara found a block of ice and thought she had hit the jackpot!
She played with that thing for quite awhile.
Piper was unaffected by the ice.
She’s not much for picking up strange objects in the yard and playing with them.
At Noon, we went to our nephew’s birthday party at Chuckie Cheese.
It was CRAZY! Talk about over stimulated! I don’t know how all you parents do it.
It was a total mad house!
I’m pretty sure Justin and I both had mild panic attacks during the first 10 minutes we were there. (Justin may have had one the entire time.)
It was good to see my family, though.
And, let’s not forget the birthday boy! He had a blast!
My sister had pizza for everyone, but I headed to the salad bar.
After the birthday party, and settling down our nervous systems, we still had our sitter for a couple more hours, so we went to a movie.
We saw “Chronicle”. It was pretty good. I think I enjoyed my buttery popcorn and Reese’s Pieces more though!
No pizza and cake at the birthday party means popcorn and candy at the theater. It’s all about choices.
We had to get home after the movie but wanted to keep the date vibe going, so we ordered take out.
Bonefish! I ordered Bang Bang Shrimp and a house salad. My favorite and it did not disappoint!
We had such a great day!
I was fighting to keep my eyes open by 9:15pm.
Sara is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI want to try that Bang Bang Shrimp! I bet Matt would love it too!
Sara is a nut. Love her! I think you would love the shrimp!
Deleteyeah chuckie cheese is def overstimulation! we've had only 2 bday parties there, and we made sure to schedule them on sunday around 11am when there is less crowd. i am in a constant state of germaphobe the entire time and i have always brought my own big bottle of hand sanitizer!!!
ReplyDelete:D
oh and love all the food pics...and the ones of the girls of course!
Sunday seems like a better choice. There were about 50 birthday parties going on and the volume in that place was....I don't even have a word for it! And, yeah, the germ thing. Eebie Jeebie! I carry hand sanitizer as well, so we made sure and scrubbed up as soon as we walked out of there!
