We finally did it!
We got the laundry room done!
Remember my project I started before we left for New Orleans? It was a three-part organizational project:
Part 1: Organize yarn – DONE! (clearly the most important!)
Part 2: Organize laundry room – DONE!
Part 3: Organize spare bedroom – stay tuned!
In case you are just joining us, here is a recap:
I wish I would have taken a true “before” picture. The shelf to Justin’s left in the below picture was the ONLY hanging shelf in the room!
We had black wire cubes on the wall that shares the door (floor to ceiling), but I had taken those out and put them in the spare bedroom closet to store my yarn. That’s what started this whole organizational mess!
Then I moved the shelves from the spare bedroom closet to the laundry room, which didn’t workout as planned and left us with this:
So all our “stuff” was taking up floor space. My goal was to get everything off the floor and open that room up.
We decided that the track/shelf system would work best for our laundry room. Cabinets would make the room look even smaller and other shelving systems were too permanent.
By using the tracks, I can configure the shelves any way I want. I don’t feel locked in to this layout should I change my mind once I start using it (plus it was super easy for Justin to install).
I had most of the tubs and bins, but I needed several more, so I ran up to Target and grabbed the teal and teal with zig zag tubs. The blue bucket in the corner bugs me a little but I am not going to replace a perfectly good bucket because it doesn’t match my color theme…..yet.
We love it. It works perfect for us and we accomplished my goal of getting everything off the floor! Now I just need to label the tubs and I am DONE!
What I’m trying to tell you is…….I didn’t workout yesterday.
Meals:
Meal #1: Gluten free toast with peanut butter, honey and banana and a side of clementines (Cuties)
Meal #2: Egg whites, onion, red bell pepper, broccoli, mushrooms, black olives
Meal #3: Left over noodles from Noodle & Co., salad
Meal #4:
Justin made a yummy pork tenderloin that I snacked on throughout the afternoon which left me not very hungry for a meal, so I ate ice cream…..from Sonic.
IT’S FRIDAY!!!
