Finally, a Workout!

Yesterday started with a workout!

Whew! I can finally type those words!

The day started at 4:45am when I woke to see that Justin was awake and informed me that he had been awake all night. Darn.

Justin used to get insomnia quite often and has never been a good sleeper.  But, an all-nighter hasn’t happened in a long time.  I hate that for him since I am a great sleeper.  I can pretty much go to sleep on demand.

He got up with me and even drank some coffee, but by 7am, he was starting to feel tired and was going down fast.  He helped me get everything ready so my morning with our clients would be a breeze and then headed to bed.

I had planned to meet a friend at Title Boxing but didn’t get there in time so I met her at the gym instead.  I brought my Gym Boss and we did our own interval workout in the open gym.  We also grabbed some 15lb dumb bells and a stability ball. It was so fun and I am so sore this morning!


I set my timer so we would work for 45 seconds and rest for 10 seconds.  We kept that up for probably 20 minutes or so and then just started doing reps.  I was dying and quickly realized I wasn’t completely over my cold!

Here are the exercises we did (not sure if I can remember everything!) in no particular order:

  • jumping jacks
  • jogging
  • walking lunges
  • high skips
  • side shuffle
  • chest press on stability ball
  • concentration curls
  • french press
  • burpees
  • modified burpee  with dumb bells (plank, push-up, one arm row, dead lift, hammer curl, overhead press, tricep extension)
  • squat with side leg raise
  • wall taps
  • pushup to side plank
  • Romanian dead lifts
  • squat jumps
  • sprints
  • bent over rows

I think that’s it.  We repeated the exercises we did with weights.
