Happy Days!!

Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days….oh dear, it’s probably too early to be singing.

Okie Dokie.

So, yesterday.  I was soooo tired.  It’s that saying…I need a vacation after my vacation!  Yikes. I just couldn’t get it together.  I never worked out. I just laid around all day (playing Collapse Blast on Facebook. Who else is addicted?!) and then went to my Mom’s in the evening for a Premiere Jewelry party.

I got a super cute necklace.  Can’t wait to get it so I can show you guys.

Oh, something else I bought before we went on vacation that I didn’t have chance to share is this awesome dress:

Product Image

I ordered it for Puerto Rico, but it ended up not getting here in time so I was irritated with Zappos and was just going to send it right back. Not even going to take it out of the box. Just right back.

But then, I got curious.  I thought, I’ll just try it on and then right back in the box.  BUT Oh. My. Goodness. I love it!  Totally keeping it.  It is soooo comfortable and super flattering!  The material is soft and silky and just glides on and hangs perfectly on my body.  It’s from Jessica Simpson’s collection.  I think I will be checking out more of her clothes.

Here is what I have eaten for the past two days.  See if you can tell where my tough part of the day is (those on competition diet, do not answer, it will ALL look like a tough part of the day to you! ha!):

I keep letting myself run out of food at the end of the day.  Then I’m tired and don’t feel like fixing anything and I cave.  We ordered Chinese food Sunday night because we were being lazy and then last night it was one of our resident’s birthday and pizza is his favorite meal.

  • Meal #1 on both days was egg whites and turkey sausage.
  • Meal #2: Sunday was spaghetti squash with meat sauce and roasted green beans; Monday was Godwin bars made in mini muffin pans
  • Meal #3 on both days was a salmon patty with Thousand Island dressing and roasted broccoli
  • Meal #4: Sunday was Lo Mein noodles and Monday was two pieces of pizza

I only show four meals both days because I didn’t get pictures of my snacks.  I snacked on nuts, Fiber One bars, gluten free pretzels and graham crackers.

I am going to get some meals prepped today so I don’t get lazy and cave on the last meal every day this week.

BECAUSE….I have a busy week ahead of me!  My youngest sister, Vann, is getting married on Friday and my youngest brother, James, is running his first marathon on Saturday!

I have been waiting for my chance to make this sign:

don't poop your pants

For James, not Vann.

(Justin is already embarrassed and it’s only Tuesday!)  bwahahahaha

What other signs have you marathoners seen that kept you motivated?

I better take the dogs for a walk, it’s been like a year since I last walked them.

  1. I've been following your blog for awhile, but this is my first time commenting...Hi!!

I ran my first (and last, ha!) marathon this past February...the biggest thing that kept me going was hearing people cheering my name - all the runners in my race had their first name printed on their bib and lots of spectators would cheer for us by name...very cool!

I took a picture of a sign that said, "Your feet are hurting because you're kicking so much butt!" which I thought was super cute!

Around mile 21 we were running through neighborhoods and there was a house that had a huge sign that said "Cocktails for Quitters" and they had shots set up out in front. Maybe not super motivational, but it was funny!

And of course the "Pain is temporary, pride is forever" signs are always motivating.

Good luck to your brother and congratulations to your sister! What an awesome weekend :)

  2. Hi Libby!! I will definitely look for people's names and cheer them on!

Love the "Pain is temporary, pride is forever". I think I'll make that one for sure.

Thanks for following along with my crazy life!

  3. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the dress....and the yummy food :)
