First Day of September

Whoa. Mother Nature has laid another heat blanket over us again!  It was 81 at 5:30am!

I can’t wait to get out and run, though, I got some new running clothes yesterday!  Nike Tempo shorts are on sale at Sports Authority as are their capri training pants.  I grabbed one pair of each and then a shirt to go with.

I also had to get this little stinker a new harness for her leash because she decided to chew on the clasp of the other one. 


Yesterday was Title Boxing day, but first breakfast!

Meal #1: Oats with protein powder and a banana

The I headed to the Sweat Fest.  It was awesome.

Justin and I were going to go hit golf balls before we met up with his Mom for lunch.  We didn’t leave our house early enough for the driving range so we ran a couple of errands and then headed to lunch.

Meal #3: Chips and salsa and a goat cheese, mushroom, corn, black bean quesadilla. And two bites of a sopapilla.

In the evening I went to the movies with my Mom and some girls from her work.  We saw The Help.  I loved it!  I ate right before I left so I wasn’t tempted by any popcorn or candy.  I think they did a great job translating the book into a movie.  I will definitely watch it again when it comes out on In Demand!

Back at home, Justin and I watched Big Brother.  Shelly is just making deals left and right, isn’t she?  I am still on the side of the Newbies.  I’m excited to see what happens tonight.

Today is the first day of September!  I hope everyone has a great first day of the month!


  1. so my oats and protein do NOT look like that : (
    what am i doing wrong?
    1/3 cup quick oats...boiled on the stove top....
    and then add in the a mixture of the protein powder...I had to make mine with mint choco protein powder. no plain choco left... yours makes my mouth water :S


    and I've been right on point with eat well....minus the bowl of chocolate cheerios yesterday :)

  3. Nini, I put 1/4 cup 7 grain cereal (any type of old fashion oats would work) in a bowl with just enough water to cover them. I cook them in the microwave for 4 MINUTES. All the liquid is completely cooked out. The oats are soft but dry. Then I pour my protein powder that I have mixed into a peanut butter consistency into that bowl and stir together.

  4. I find it hilarious that you eat a pickle with some ground turkey because I despise pickles AND mustard.... UNLESS I am in comp prep. THEN its like I am pregnant and have these awful pickle and mustard cravings. :) Too funny!
