Wake Up Sleepy Head

It is such a beautiful morning!  I don’t want you to miss it!

I am writing to you from our deck.

The sun is shining and there is the slightest breeze that makes the temperature perfect.  I can hear birds chirping and school buses stopping and starting up again as they load up with kids.

The dogs are playing chase and people are out walking, running and biking, squeezing in their daily dose of exercise before they head to work.  It is the start of a beautiful day!

If you read yesterday’s post, you know I had a busy morning of fence construction.  It is still standing this morning!  Hooray! 

One little part had started to fall and as I was out there, with my staple gun, repairing it, a lady walked by and told me about a guy down the street that builds fences.  She said he built her fence for way less than any other estimate she received.  Score!  I will definitely be heading down to his house today.

In the mean time, another company is coming this morning to give us an estimate.  I can not wait to look out my window and NOT see this:

It works really well, though, the dogs won’t even go near it!

I ended up running 2.5 miles yesterday and then coming back and walking the girls another mile.  My plan was to lift weights and then hop on the elliptical for 20 minutes, but I got all hot sweaty with that silly fence and then didn’t feel like it. (Justin was very impressed with the my skills, by the way!)

Yesterday’s meals included:

Meal #1: Oats with protein powder and a banana

Meal #4: Protein ice cream with a couple of graham crackers. That’s my Nook beside my bowl. I am now reading “Something Borrowed”, since I just watched that movie.  It’s pretty good.  It’s an easy, mindless read and sometimes those are just what I need!

Meal #5: English Muffin with butter and a handful of roasted peanuts (forgot to take a picture, but it looked a lot like this only peanuts not nut butter!)

We settled in for the night and watched Limitless with Bradley Cooper.  It was really good!

I was so tired yesterday.  Running 4 miles and then going to Title Boxing the day before was way too much.  I wanted to be sore but it zapped me!  I was the kind of sore that made me really tired and a little nauseous all day.

I feel great this morning!  Can’t wait to get to Title Boxing!

  1. I really enjoyed limitless too! and I plan on watching something borrowed soon...have to say though i wasn't so thrilled with the book.

    your oats with it 1/3 cup protein dry? and how much water do you use in your protein to make it look so thick and creamy? I am sure you've told me this three times. but I am on a new program and oats and protein are apart of it :)may throw in some banana too!

  2. Nini, yes, I use 1/3 of a cup of protein powder and then I just drizzle little amounts of water into the bowl or cup that I am using and stir, stir, stir, it takes VERY LITTLE water. Hope that helps!
