Feelin’ Sweet

It’s Wednesday again!  Can’t wait to get to Title Boxing this morning, but first, here’s the scoop on yesterday:

A blanket of heat fell over us again.  I had to have Katy and Piper at the groomer by 7am and when I got home it was just too HOT to run outside.  I headed downstairs and did the elliptical for an hour instead.  I finished reading Pioneer Woman’s book while on the elliptical and was a little sad when it was over. Good thing I have her blog to go to everyday!

Meal #1 was oats with protein powder and a banana:

Later in the morning, I picked up the girls and once again I had all my “ducks” in a row!

You have no idea how hard it was to get a picture with all three of them in it!  Every time I got all three of them in a shot, one would start going to the bathroom!

Look at our poor grass. July in the midwest means brown patches (unless you want to water everyday).

We were only outside for about 10 minutes!  Clearly, it is hot!

Time to head inside to the cool AC!

Meal #2 was a hot turkey and swiss sandwich and a salad.

I also enjoyed an Edy’s Tangerine Fruit Bar to cool things off:

The afternoon was spent washing bedding and ordering NEW bedding for our bed!  I can’t wait for it to get here! I ordered a new mattress pad, new sheets and new blankets!  I also did some cleaning out and organizing of our linen closet.  Feels good to have at least one closet in the house organized!

Meal #5 was stuffed green peppers.  I just winged it with what I had on hand.

Diced tomatoes and pulled pork went into a bowl with cooked brown rice, salt and pepper.  After mixing that together, I stuffed the mixture into green bell peppers.

I wrapped tin foil around the peppers so they would stay upright in the oven.  They cooked in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.  I split one piece of cheese between the two of them and put them back in until the cheese was melted.

They needed to be cooked a little longer.  The bell pepper was not as soft as I wanted it to be, but it was still good.  I also wish I would have added some of my homemade salsa to it.  I’ll add some of that today when I eat the one that was left over.

Desert was some spoon tips of Nutella!
