Created my Golf Game

Yesterday was Day #1 of the 30 Days of Creativity and while I did some crocheting last night, I didn’t finish my project.  I did go golfing with Justin for the first time, so I am saying I created my golf game!  Does that count (Vann?)?  It was also Day 1 of 30 days of yoga and I didn’t do any yoga. I did do some stretching before and after my run! Does that count (Britney?)? I’m off to a good start.

It was seriously gorgeous here yesterday!  I ran my 5 miles and felt like I could have ran forever!  I love those days!

Post run meal was a yogurt bowl: Non Fat, Plain Chobani yogurt, banana, toasted 7-grain Cereal, gluten free peanut butter puffs cereal, Agave Nectar. Once I snap this picture, I stir everything up and it’s soooo delicious!

Then I started prepping some food to take with me for the day.  I made protein and oat pancakes, mini bell peppers and cucumbers and an orange:

Before we left the house, it was time for me to eat again, so I had two brown rice cakes with peanut butter and jelly:

I lasted about 9 holes and then I was worn out!  I sat out two holes and then played three more and then was done.  I am terrible, so that doesn’t help, but I seriously was TIRED!  I don’t know how Justin does this three times a week and sometimes twice in one day!  I was starving and in desperate need of a nap by the time we got home!

I loved it, though! I loved spending the day with Justin, doing something he loves.  Seeing his excitement when he did well, or when I did well.  Hearing the confidence (and patience) in his voice as he taught me how to swing or what club to choose (every. single. time.).  Feeling his pride as we met other people along the way and he told them he was bringing me out for my first time.

It was a beautiful day and I can’t wait to do it again!

Justin turns into a 10 year old boy as soon as his foot hits the pedal of that golf cart.  I held on for dear life!  I thought for sure he was going to throw me out a couple of times!

I have never been happier to see a sign in my life! Winking smile  Home. Food. Nap.

I started snacking as soon as I got home because I didn’t have anything ready! Brown rice cakes with nutella and no bake protein powder cookies were the go to snacks.   I did end up fixing some egg whites and gluten free toast.

I ruined by delicious toast with that butter.  I hadn’t eaten buttered toast in so long, I thought it would taste delicious. Wrong.

I had some roasted, unsalted almonds and cashews later in the evening too.

My first day of June was spectacular, hope yours was too!


  1. What is this Chobani Yogurt? i have never seen it?
    can you explain a bit?


  2. Chobani is a brand name. It's greek yogurt. I couldn't wait until after my comp prep to try making these yogurt bowls that I kept seeing on other blogs! They are so yummy!
