I still can’t post any comments!  There are so many things I want to say on all of your blogs!! And thank you for all the kind words on my blog!  I feel like we are all in this together!

Oh, well, I’ll just have to keep checking back.

I started the day off with oatmeal with protein powder and a banana:

Then I headed out to run.  I felt so much better today.  I got in 4 miles.  My body didn’t feel as stiff and thick today.

After getting everyone else in the house up and on their way for the day, I fixed myself some eggwhite/oatmeal pancakes:

I put a thin layer of natural peanut butter on three of them and then a smear of Nutella on the fourth.  I drizzled it all with a little syrup and found myself in pancake heaven!

I could do without the syrup next time, but I just had to try it!  It’s been so long since I’ve had syrup, I had to see if I missed it.  Nope, I don’t.

Here’s what the batter looks like after turning the oats to flour and letting them soak in the egg whites for 30-45 minutes:

Pour them in the pan.  I do them one at a time in a little pan because I’m too lazy to wash a big pan!

After letting that settle, I headed downstairs with Justin to work out.  It felt good to lift weights with carbs in my system and ENERGY!

  • 3 sets of:
    • Lunges – 25lb DB in each hand – 10ea leg
    • Overhead press – 20lb SB in each hand – 15 reps
    • Bent Over Rows – 35lb barbell – 15 reps
    • Jumping Jacks – 1 minute
  • 3 sets of:
    • Crazy/Full Body Burpee:
      • 15lb DB in each hand
      • Go down to plank, do a pushup, one armed row (each side), come back up, bicep curl, overhead press, tricep extension and then reverse it all on way down
      • 10 reps
  • One pull up unassisted just to see if I could.  I want to be able to do these!
  • One set of hanging leg raises
  • One set of T-bar rows just to see what it was like (Justin was setting it up for himself and I had never done them before).

Great day so far!  I feel energized and like myself again!

  2. Thank you for the recipe...thats what I was doing wrong with my oatmeal pancakes I wasnt grinding the oats and I didnt soak them in the whites!

  3. hey there, you looked awesome for the show. a fantastic transformation which you no doubt are proud coz that is an AMAZING result. i have followed your progress and its amazing how noticable the weekly results were in your pics towards the end. from what ive gathered this has taken you some time to accomplish - how do some girls do it in 12 weeks?
