Mid Day Report

I got in a 3 mile run this morning before I pooped out.  It was not an easy run.  I was kind of surprised.  I was so excited to get out there and the weather was perfect.  As soon as I started jogging, my body just felt so thick and heavy and stiff.  It took the first mile to loosen up a bit and then my head was kind of thick and mucusy feeling too which made breathing not as comfortable.  After that third mile, I was ready to be done, so I walked home, leashed up the girls and took them for a walk.  I guess I just need to work myself back into my routine.

After we got our clients on their way (along with all the treats), I ate my morning snack:

  • 2 rice cakes
  • natural peanut butter
  • strawberry jelly (made by my Grandma)

Then for lunch, I ate ground turkey nachos:

  • 2 ounces of tortilla chips
  • 4 ounces of ground turkey seasoned with taco seasoning
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • black olives
  • Pace Picante Sauce
  • Baby Romaine Lettuce

I was craving something sweet and there was one treat that we couldn’t send to the day hab….my Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked ice cream!  I polished that off with some graham crackers (obviously too fast to snap a picture).  I actually made an ice cream sandwich with the graham crackers!  So yummy! 

That little bit of ice cream left me wanting more, so my afternoon snack was a thick protein shake that I ate with a spoon!

  • 1 cup Almond milk, non-sweetened vanilla
  • handful of spinach
  • 1/2 of a banana (frozen)
  • 1 cup strawberries (frozen)
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream protein powder

I snacked on some almonds too!
