Got My Body Back

Yikes! I’m posting super late today.  I got up at my normal early hour, drank coffee, ran, ate breakfast all while the rest of the house slept in.  As did the whole neighborhood.  It was so quiet out this morning.  It was great!

Let me back up to yesterday.  I ran my 5 miles and finally felt like I got my body back.  It took about a week to feel completely normal again.  After my run, I ate egg whites and grapefruit:

After getting everyone up and around for the day, I headed downstairs and lifted weights:

  • 3 sets:
    • Flat bench – 30 lb DB; 12 reps
    • One arm row – 30lb DB; 10 reps
    • Sumo Squat – 30lb DB: 12 reps
  • 3 sets:
    • Regular pushups – to failure
    • Pull Downs – 45lb: 12 reps
    • Alternating Lunges – 20lb DB: 10 reps each leg

My next meal was a protein shake. 1 cup almond milk, 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, 1/2 frozen banana, 1 cup frozen strawberries, a handful of spinach:

Just like my ice creams only I blended it longer so it didn’t require a spoon.

Then I was off to pick up a birthday present for my Step-Mom and groceries for our house and the BBQ we were going to yesterday.

I was super hungry by the time I got home.  I knew there would be tons of food at my Brother’s and lots of treats for me to graze on, so I kept it light:

Then we loaded up our car and headed to my Brother’s.   All my blogging skills failed at some point between our house and arriving at my Brother’s house.  I didn’t take ONE picture!  I even brought BOTH of my camera’s!

There was lots of family and lots of food and LOTS OF DESSERTS!  I was in heaven!  I ate very little regular food, so I could eat more desserts!  It was so fun!

Hope everyone is enjoying the day off with family or just relaxing.  Justin is playing golf with his Dad today, so I am relaxing.  It looks like it’s going to be a great day to do some reading in the screened in porch!

    that yogurt with the puffs looks delicious. I have quinoa for my carb today and I want none of it.... :(

    6 weeks out...I just have to remind myself that the end is near!
