19 Days Out

I thought the day would never come that I typed a ONE in that number!  Only two weeks left of training, then peak week (I don’t even know what that means, but I hear and read other girls say it so now I get to say it!).

Yesterday was a high carb day, but my body didn’t know it.  I felt tired all day.  Even this morning, I’m on my THIRD big cup of coffee trying to give myself some energy!  All my stores should be filled back up and I should have energy this morning, right? 

It is chilly this morning (again). Boo!  I want to run outside but I am so sick of being cold!  I know it’s so silly to complain about the weather.  It’s actually a beautiful, crisp, spring morning!  I will be doing my hour of cardio on the treadmill though to avoid wearing gloves!

We didn’t do much yesterday.  It was a nice lazy Sunday.  Justin did a monster workout, so he was downstairs in the gym for like three hours.

I was either cooking or eating all day!  I was hungry for oats, so most of my carb meals were oats with protein yesterday!  Yummm!  I am so looking forward to adding a banana to that mix!


  • Morning Cardio: 60 minutes on the treadmill
  • Round 2 Cardio: 50 minutes on the treadmill

Meal #5: Tilapia with Sweet potato chips (burned the first batch so bad I had to make another!) This is an old picture where I also burned the chips!  I forgot to take a picture yesterday, but you get the idea!

Justin made himself an awesome rice bowl for his post-workout meal.  I can’t wait to eat this someday!

  • 2 Fried Eggs
  • Brisket
  • Salsa

That was our Sunday through food and exercise!  I can’t type this post today and not mention the news from last night.  I hold our military very close to my heart and am so proud to be an American citizen.  I can sit here, drink three cups of coffee, and blog away about not being able to run outside because it’s too chilly, because men and women have chosen to be away from their families, fighting for MY freedom.  I am forever thankful.
