13 Days Out

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mother’s out there!!  It is a beautiful day here!

Already got my 5 mile run in for the day and some egg whites down. I am feeling tired today.  Hoping some more coffee will get me perked up and ready to lift some weights pretty soon!

We will be heading to my Mom’s around lunch time where everyone will be eating pizza!  Guess what I will be eating:

We had my sister, Vann, and our sister-in-law Becky’s graduation party here yesterday.  It was a lot of fun.  Of course, there was lots of yummy food for my to feast my EYES on!

I made croissant roll ups.  Some were ham and cheese, some just cheese and then some were just plain croissants.  I also made tortilla rollups with cream cheese, black olives and green chilis in them. Vann brought tortilla rollups that had bean and cheese in them. Becky’s friend brought these little snacks that had peanut butter and cereal in them (like a no bake cookie).  They looked yummy!  I also made an éclair dessert.  I’m sure you’ve seen it on many blogs.  It has the layers of graham crackers and vanilla pudding topped with chocolate icing.  Everyone said it was yummy!

My step mom brought deviled eggs and cupcakes that had peanut butter on the inside and homemade fudge icing!!  They looked amazing!!

Everything looked yummy and I felt a little more snacky than normal, but it wasn’t too bad.  I kept gum in my mouth so I wouldn’t accidently put something in my mouth without thinking.  I drank a lot of water, ate cucumbers and pickles and probably had a few too many almonds!

I took yesterday as a rest day.  The last rest day before the competition.  I was moving from the time I woke up anyway, getting ready for the party.  So, I’m sure I burned some calories.  After everyone left, my brothers and my sisters stuck around and we all hung out and talked until late into the evening.  It was a wonderful day!  I loved being around my family and having that time with my siblings.  Now that we are older, it doesn’t happen as often as it should.  I really should make more of an effort!

Progress pictures are up!  I can’t really see any change from last week.  It is what it is.  I am just going to keep pushing this last week of training, before heading into peak week and see what happens.  I have done the best I can (With the exception of a few too many almonds here and there!) and that’s all I can ask of myself.  I feel proud that I have stuck to my diet 100% over the past 16 weeks.  That was the part of this process I was the most worried about.

  3. Um... YOU FOUND YOUR ABS! They are all over that picture. Tiny and tight and did you substitue crack for sugerfree gum? Because they are RIGHT THERE! Wow! Big difference from last week. You look AMAZING!
