This is the chicken that I grilled on Sunday. We have a Calphalon grill and I love it!
It is so easy to use and clean and makes cooking up a dozen chicken breast a breeze. They turn out juicy and perfect every time!
I actually had quite a bit of energy yesterday considering it was my second low carb day in a row. I was starting to crash around evening cardio time, but I managed to get on the elliptical and spin bike. Not a very intense cardio session, but got it done.
This is how yesterday went down:
Workouts:
- Morning cardio - ran 4 miles outside, walked dogs
- Trained back with Diana
- Evening Cardio – 30 minutes on elliptical, 20 minutes on spin bike
Meals:
Meal #1: Oats with Protein
Meal #2: Oats with Protein
Meal #3: Grilled chicken breast with Walden Farms BBQ Sauce and brussel sprouts. I bought the Petite brussel sprouts this time and they were so yummy! A whole bag is two cups and that’s just what I need!
Meal #4: Taco Salad
Meal #5: Grilled Chicken Breast and raw veggies with Walden Farms Zesty Italian Dressing
The scale hasn’t budged in the past week and I know it’s because of water retention and my T.O.M. but I don’t like it. I get weighed in tomorrow and my body fat measurements taken and I wanted to be at a certain number. We’ll see what happens.
Hi! We met a few years ago through Kelli and she showed me your blog- you look great and I am so impressed by everything you have accomplished! Hope you don't mind that I am following you now! Quick question- what is that yummy chocolate protein you put on your oats?? Anyway, good luck!
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy! Yes, I remember meeting you! Thanks for following along with my blog. The yummy chocolate protein is the ON 100% Whey protein powder. We buy it from bodybuilding.com (but you can buy it anywhere!). I use chocolate caramel toffee fudge some times or just the double chocolate. It is sooo good. I mix it in a cup with just enough water to make it like a peanut butter consistency and then pour that into my cooked oats. Soooo good!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about the protein on the oats too. It looks super yummy! Thanks for the heads up!
