45 Days Out

Oh, Wednesday, how I love thee!  I get my body fat measured today and I can’t wait to see how much it has gone down!

I am ramping up my cardio sessions.  Especially my evening cardio.  My morning cardio is pretty good.  I burn around 800 calories each morning.  My evening cardio has been lagging though.  I am tired when evening rolls around and I just go through the motions, maybe burning 200-300 calories.  I may need to start adding a cup of coffee in the afternoon to perk me up a little so my evening cardio is as good as my morning cardio (or at least more intense than it has been).

I got in some great morning cardio on the treadmill yesterday.  It was chilly outside and I wasn’t in the mood to get all layered up so I threw on my shorts and sports bra and headed downstairs.  I ran at 6 mph for most of the time.  Every 10 minutes or so I would drop the speed to 4 mph and raise the incline to 10.  I was good and sweaty by the end and had soaked through my workout clothes.

A couple of hours (and meals) later, Justin and I headed downstairs to lift weights.  I worked hamstrings and glutes.  I was good and sweaty by the end of that workout too.  Another set of workout clothes in the hamper.  Bleh! So. Much. Laundry.

I went back for my second round of cardio around 6:30pm.  Just in time to watch Wheel of Fortune and the beginning of Biggest Loser.  I hopped on the treadmill and was just going to run the entire time, but I started feeling my hips aching, so I ran for 2 miles then dropped the speed to 4 mph and raised the incline to 10 for 1 mile.  Then I dropped the incline and walked at 4 mph for the remainder of the time.  I felt great and my hips are thanking me this morning for listening to them in their moment of distress.  And another set of workout clothes went in the hamper!

I loved all my meals yesterday and felt full and satisfied all day as well.

So, here’s a fun fact for you.  Diana warned me in the beginning that if you eat too much artificial sweetener you will have SEVERE gas.  She typed it like five times in my program.  Justin and I both laughed it off.  Ummmmm….it’s no joke and Justin and I are no longer laughing! (well, maybe I am).  Especially the Walden Farms BBQ sauce.  There should be a warning on the bottle.  So, I laid off all that stuff yesterday (and gave Justin a break!).

Time to lace up my running shoes.  It think it’s warm enough to get outside!
