42 Days and 6 WEEKS Out!

SIX WEEKS!  I can’t believe it!  So. Freaking. Excited. Looking forward to taking my progress pictures tomorrow.  I feel like my back is starting to come in, FINALLY!  Too bad my tan is gone!

When I first started my prep, I started a group Facebook page for all the girls that are competing.  It has been everything I hoped it would be.  Everyone shares their feelings, tips and tricks to get through low carb days, how much Easter candy they are hoarding in their freezer, stuff like that!  I love it!  We are all nervous and excited for ourselves and each other.  It has turned into one big supportive group of competitors!

Yesterday was a GREAT DAY!  I felt muuuuuch better than I did Thursday.  My body just really needed a rest day.

I worked with Diana yesterday on my posing.  She gave me lots of tips and positive feedback.  The above snapshots are from the little bit of video we got at the beginning of our session.  My camera was not cooperating with me!   My posing improved as the hour went on.  I need to get more comfortable with how my body feels in those poses.  I just need to practice EVERY DAY.  There is nothing natural about those poses. I have never had to work so hard to stick my bootay out!

Last night was our Date Night! I forgot to take a picture of my outfit.  I was so proud of it.  I wore a black sheath dress that I bought last summer but have never worn because it quickly became to tight to wear.  Now it’s loose!  I felt like a million bucks!  We went to the movies and saw Hanna.  It was just okay.  (It was Justin’s turn to pick the flick.)

Then we went to dinner.  I ordered the salmon salad and asked the waiter for no butter or oil on the salmon, no feta cheese, no crispy potatoes and the dressing on the side.  It came to me perfect.  AND the salmon was a small (probably 3 oz) portion!  Perfect!  I felt so good about eating that meal!   • Morning Cardio: Ran 5 miles, walked the dogs
  • Trained Quads and calves at home

His meal was handmade beef ravioli with sausage, grilled shrimp, sundried tomatoes and asparagus.  It looked delicious!  He was craving Key Lime Pie (I tried to offer him a piece of my dessert gum, but it didn’t fly!), so on the way home we stopped at a restaurant we knew had good Margarita Pie which came close enough for him!  It’s limey and creamy and YUMMY!  I wasn’t even tempted though, I’ve got my eye on the prize!

Have a great Saturday!  It’s supposed to be warm today so I see some laying out in my future!

  4. I'm in a fb group that is the same- 12 of us that were new competitors. Isn't it great? So much support and you know you're not crazy =) YAY for 6 more weeks, you're looking fantastic!
