40 Days Out

I almost forgot to post today!  I didn’t wake up at 5:30am this morning like I have been and I felt a little behind all morning! I have evidently gotten use to that extra 30 minutes!

I need to start out by saying THANK YOU to my loving and awesome friends (one of which is also my sister!) that left such positive and uplifting comments regarding my progress pictures!  I sooooo needed to read those today!  Thank you so much for your support. It helps more than you know!

How I’m Feelin’

So, today is Monday and the beginning of a new week. A time to start over.  After looking back on last week’s posts, I noticed that each day starts off great and then as the day goes on, I lose steam.  I have really got to dig deeper these last 6 weeks.  I need my second round of cardio to be as strong as my morning cardio.  Not sure how I am going to make that happen just yet.

Yesterday was another worn out day.  I felt so run down and light headed most of the day.  Here is something I have noticed.  Anytime my weight goes down by 10lbs it takes a week or so to get everything balanced in my body again.  It’s like my body says, “Whoa, what are we doing, are we staying here or are we going to go back up in weight again.  I’m not comfortable.”  I haven’t been below 140lb in YEARS so I think my body is uncomfortable with me dropping into the 130’s.  It’s really hanging on tight to that last pound!  It will happen this week though, so hopefully my body gets with the program and balances out because I need to start feeling better.  I want my energy back!

I totally rested yesterday as evidenced by this picture!  No workouts at all.

I did eat though!  One of the really great things about this diet and the fact that my body is burning through food so fast these days, I eat my food very slowly and really enjoy each bite.  I love my oats with protein powder so much in the morning that I don’t want it to end. I eat it so slowly so I really make every bite last.  I have noticed that I am doing that more and more with each of my meals.  I really want to taste every bite!

I also had made some sugar free/fat free chocolate pudding on Saturday and I finished that off yesterday.  I made the pudding with water (not milk).  Then yesterday,  I made some sugar free cherry Jell-O and ate some of that.  I also snacked on whole pickles, cucumbers, almonds and GUM!

I have reached the point of thinking Crystal Light taste good, too.  I know a lot people like it, but I do not normally like it.  I am a plain water drinker through and through (oh and coffee and wine!). So, to reach the point of thinking Crystal Light is a treat is saying something!

I can’t wait to get rid of all the artificial sweetener in my life when this is over!  Ugh. So. Much. Artificial. Sweetener.  But, it helps, so whatever it takes to get me through the next 6 weeks, I’ll do it!

  1. I agree with your oats, I still love my oats and protein! I mix them with 1 tbsp almond butter and 1 scoop of protein. I used to just do chocolate until I discovered banana protein.MMMMM! I LOVE it!

Hang in there, this is such a tiring process, one that your body isn't used to. Just make sure you get enough rest. 6 weeks is going to fly by!!

  2. Oh, Lisa, I hope you're right about the next 6 weeks flying by, because I feel like I'm in slow motion! I still have so much jiggle when I walk...does the tan cover that up too?! LOL!

  3. Thanks for following my blog! I love reading yours and I'm glad there are others on the same journey as me :) Your meals always look delicious, I'm a bit jealous--I'm not creative with my food. And I agree with the slow motion--I'm so impatient and I want to see new results EVERY day but I guess I'll just have to wait!
