Happy Friday! Wow, this week has flown by! I have a lot of energy this morning and you know why? Yesterday was an high carb day! A much needed HIGH CARB DAY! I love the energy these high carb days give me the following day.
Here’s a recap of my week so far:
- You can tell I’m desperate for sweets, I like the taste of Crystal Light.
- Ran the stairs at the high school, bought our plane tickets to Chicago.
- Worked out at the warehouse, broke through my plateau and landed in the 130’s!
- Cried during my workout!
And that brings us to yesterday. I had a GREAT day! I got my suit from my friend yesterday! Yippee! It is beautiful! I love it! Of course, the picture doesn’t allow all it’s beauty to shine through. It is a vibrant shade of purple and the crystals sparkle like diamonds!
Here is a picture of my warm up jacket too. I forgot to have Justin take a picture of me IN it yesterday, so I snapped this one this morning on the hanger. It turned out great. I can’t wait to wear it!
Yesterday morning, I ran four miles instead of five because I had to pee so bad! Evidently I am drinking too much coffee before I run because I went right before I left! After eating a couple of meals, I headed downstairs and did biceps and triceps. Justin and I ran some errands and then it was sweet potato time! Man, I love making sweet potato chips! My little mandolin is the best kitchen accessory I own when it comes down to sweet potatoes. They just turn out so light and crispy! No oil or anything just thinly sliced sweet potatoes, baked in a 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. I let them sit on the cookie sheet for a couple of minutes and finish crisping up. Then YUMMY!
While I was running yesterday morning, I was already thinking about what I was going to do for my second round of cardio. That hour seems to be the stinker these days. I am getting bored with it. Then I remembered the cardio class that is held every Tuesday and Thursday at my old karate school! So I went, and it was so fun!! She killed us last night and before I knew it the hour was over and my cardio was done for the day! I purchased the 10-class pass which is perfect since I’ll be 5 weeks out from the competition tomorrow! It was meant to be!
My meals were the usual yesterday:
- Oats with protein
- Oats with protein and one slice of gluten free toast
- Egg Whites with two slices of gluten free toast
- Ground turkey with mustard and sweet potato chips
- Ground turkey with mustard and sweet potato chips
- Ground turkey taco salad
The only picture I took of my food yesterday!
Time to get moving. I have a busy day ahead of me! Tomorrow’s post will be another exciting one (in case you didn’t know, this one was exciting because I showed off my suit and jacket)!
Beautiful suit! You are going to look so awesome in it! Yay!
