33 Days Out

I feel refreshed this morning.  I just couldn’t get my energy going yesterday.  I never did finish up my cardio.  Justin played golf for most of the day yesterday and I just couldn’t get myself motivated.  I cleaned up around the house and talked on the phone.  I kept telling myself I would do some after I ate this meal or after this load of laundry.  It just kept getting pushed back.  I finally drug myself downstairs and lifted weights around 6pm.  I actually got in a good workout (hamstrings and glutes) and was ready to go outside and do some cardio but everything I thought about doing just sounded so exhausting and before I knew it I had talked myself out of it. Booo!

Today is a new day, the start of a new week and I am feeling great!  I ran 5 miles this morning and then took the girls for a walk.  I have already had my oats with protein (Caramel toffee fudge was the protein powder this morning!)  Next up is to lift weights and then I’m going to get my second round of cardio done earlier in the day before my energy level tanks.

Justin and I’s nightly back rubs have now grown to 20 minutes.  We both are working out so much we need the extra 5 minutes.  I was asleep before mine was over (as usual!)!  I went to sleep telling myself today was last day of missing any cardio.  I have to get it done no matter what, JUST DO IT!  I think getting it in earlier in the day will help and then Tuesdays and Thursdays I’ll being doing the cardio class at the karate school in the evening so that will help mix it up.

So, my workouts yesterday were:

  • Morning cardio – 3 miles
  • Lifted weights – hamstrings and glutes

  1. Don't worry too much about missing your cardio! All you can do is exactly what you have done: promise yourself to not miss anymore. I won't if you won't :)

    P.S. That protein powder sounds YUMMY! What brand?

  2. Liz, that sounds like a deal! I won't miss anymore if you won't (although I may be the only one of us missing any at this point! ha!).

    We buy our protein powder from It's the ON Gold Standard 100% Whey. We buy the big bag of double chocolate and then this past time I asked to buy some caramel toffee fudge so I could have something a little different when I felt like it!

  3. I just reread my post and it sounds funny that I "asked" to buy a different protein powder! LOL! Justin usually places the order to so I asked him to order me a different flavor! That just sounded funny, I had to clear that up! Don't want anyone thinking Justin is a protein powder control freak! :)
