Yesterday was pretty uneventful. I was very tired all day. I just felt run down and no energy! It is to be expected that I will have these days (each month) and I just have to try to plow through them and do whatever I can do!
I did 45 minutes of morning cardio on the elliptical at varying levels of incline and resistance. Then I ate some oats with protein! (Surprise!) This picture, I took a week or so ago, turned out so good that I may never take another picture of oats with protein powder again! I have been told by several people that the picture of the mixed up oatmeal looks disgusting, so I tried to take a more appetizing picture!
I did not feel like going to the warehouse, nor did I feel like lifting weights. Justin decided to start the Insanity Dvd’s and yesterday was his Day 1. So, I got my fanny down there and did it with him. It was hard and I was tired, but I’m glad I did something.
After that I was STARVING, so I made some shrimp stir fry! It was sooooo delicious!
I didn’t do much of anything yesterday. A lot of laying around thinking about all the stuff I need to get done!
Meal #3 was egg whites and gluten free toast.
Meal #4: Taco salad
I was craving some chocolate and peanut butter pretty hard yesterday. I had to whine into Justin’s chest while he hugged me over it. It was a low point. Justin was snickering while I was whining.
I ate a couple of whole pickles and chewed multiple pieces of sugar free dessert gum, trying to snap myself out of it. Nothing was working. So I made this:
It is one scoop of chocolate protein powder mixed with just enough almond milk to make it like pudding and then one tablespoon of no sugar peanut butter. I was in heaven. I could have eaten about three more servings. I took little bites and savored every single one of them, letting the peanut butter melt in my mouth.
I LOVE peanut butter. While I am allowed to eat peanut butter as part of my competition diet, I don’t trust myself with peanut butter so I just stay away from it completely. Yesterday, I had to make an exception. This little concoction was just what I needed! I went about the rest of my afternoon with not another thought about peanut butter M&M’s! Justin was craving something sweet later in the evening, so I made him one. He was not as impressed. I was jealous of his serving!
For dinner, I wasn’t that hungry so I just had a veggie salad.
