Workout, Eat, Workout, Eat, Crochet, Eat, Sleep

2011January 001

That is pretty much my daily schedule these days! I enjoyed some coffee in my favorite coffee cup while blogging and Facebook browsing yesterday morning!

Then it was cardio time! I did 30 minutes of interval work on the elliptical, got everyone up and ready and then headed to the warehouse.  It was a HARD day!  My body is always more tired on Fridays, but I think it was an extra hard workout he put together!  We did the following circuit 2 times:

  • Body Squats – 100x
  • Jump Ups – 90x (using the pull up bar, so jumping and pulling at the same time)
  • Jungle Jim Taps – 80x (I don’t know how to describe this, we are leaning back, holding on to straps that are hanging off a wire installed in the ceiling…never mind, it was hard! A lot of core.)
  • Ab Tucks – 70x (In push up position, shins on balance ball, tuck knees to chest)
  • Kettle bell swings – 60x
  • Squat jumps – 50x (had to squat low enough to touch hands to floor)
  • Push ups – 40x
  • One Legged Squat – 30x (each leg)
  • Tricep kick backs - 20x
  • Sit ups – 10x (any style)

He ended my workout with an interval program on the elliptical for 30 minutes!  I was soaked with sweat and nauseous by the end!

I had eaten a banana before I left for the warehouse and that definitely was not a enough fuel for that workout!

I came home and ate an apple and some salty nuts. Justin talked me into drinking BCAA’s with glutamine and even made it for me because all I wanted to do was whine eat the sugar from that apple and the salt from the nuts.  Thank You, Justin!  I needed it!  Once I started feeling better, I fixed egg whites, turkey bacon and gluten free toast.  Justin eats this meal as well, only he eats whole eggs and wheat toast with his turkey bacon.  This is the same picture as yesterday, I guess I didn’t take a new one!  Oops!

I had a lazy afternoon.  Read some blogs, crocheted, and watched some TV.  It was great, but I have a mountain of laundry waiting for me now!

I snacked on some salty nuts while cooking dinner.  I need to get more electrolytes in, I am really craving salt these days!

Dinner was so good. Salmon with olive oil and lemon, boiled sweet potatoes, and roasted Brussels sprouts!

We snuggled in for the evening and watched Salt.  It was good!

This blog is so great because as I am attaching pictures and writing about the food I ate, I can see that I did NOT eat enough yesterday!  I even had to go check my food diary to make sure I didn’t miss something, but nope that was it for the day!

Today’s goal is to drink a gallon of water and eat 5 or 6 meals!  I am just wasting my time with all these workouts if my body has to eat my muscle to fuel them!
