I am feeling good this morning! It’s amazing what a little exercise and good food can do for ya!
Justin and I are moving forward with operation Cut the Fat! Day #1 was a success. One thing I learned from last year is to take it one day at a time!
Everyday, every choice I make matters! So I am taking this competition prep one choice, one day at time!
I started off with 20 minutes on the elliptical, yesterday. I was supposed to do 35 minutes, steady state, but I got caught up in this blog writing thing and only left myself with 20 minutes! So I did interval work for the 20 minutes.
By the time I got everyone up and ready for the day, including a shower for myself, it was time to race out the door and get to the warehouse. I didn’t eat!
I had a great workout! I could tell I hadn’t been there in a couple weeks! We did the following circuit 4 times and then it was Kristin “fun” time.
Iron Cross
Push up with row
Squatted row/pull back thingy
Oblique twists with the band
Lunge with wood chopper
Glute bridge with foot on med ball
Side Lunge with sand bags
Kristin kick-your-butt “fun” time was:
Up-downs (just lay down on your belly and then get back up – quickly!)
split squat jumps (I think that’s what they are called. lunge then jump into your next lunge)
jump rope
squat jumps
toe taps on a box
running up and down the room
side shuffle up and down the room
leg lifts
mountain climbers
I think there are a couple exercises I am forgetting! I was nauseous when I left!
As soon as I got home, I ate an apple and some salty cashews and almonds:
My next meal was my new favorite brown rice with peas and carrots and 2 whole eggs!
I snacked on more salty nuts in the afternoon.
For dinner, I had ground turkey with taco seasoning and brown rice with peas and carrots.
I meant to have a veggie salad an hour later, but got all snuggled into bed watching TV and crocheting that I forgot!
I need to eat more food today or I will start getting that run down feeling! I have a hair appointment this morning so I won’t be going to the warehouse. My plan is to do the elliptical for 35 minutes, get my hair cut and then come home and lift weights.
The number on the scale has steadily been going down since getting home from our trip! I have lost 5lb since we got home!
I know it’s all water but it’s so rewarding to see that huge number!! I wish I could see that every week! Ha!
I picked up the ol’ trusty chicken/sweet potatoes/broccoli at the grocery store yesterday so you’ll be seeing picks of that meal pretty soon!
I plan to start taking progress pics again this Sunday as well. Can’t wait for that!
