Welcome to Windows Live Writer!

This is my first post using Windows Live Writer !  Yesterday I typed my post in Word and then published it to my blog and it was better than using Blogger’s format, but I couldn’t insert my pictures that way.  I still had to use Blogger to insert the pictures (which drives me crazy!).  So, I read one of my favorite blogs Healthy Tipping Point and she talked about Windows Live Writer in her tips for blogging!  So, after a quick download, here I am and so far it’s great!

I went to the warehouse yesterday morning and I could tell I had been there 4 days in a row!  My body was tired.  It was another great workout and I was glad I went. 

We did 4 sets of:

hammer curls (25 reps each arm)

pull ups (25)

Lunges (25)

jump rope (250)

plank to pushup (25)

leg lift with cork screw (25)

russian twist (25)

I came home and ate some oats with protein.  The next meal was with my PILs (in case you don’t know what PIL means, it’s parents-in-law!) at Hereford house where I got a bowl of their steak soup (delicious!) and a house salad.  I also had a couple bites of a roll.  It was a perfect lunch for a cold day like yesterday.  Just what I needed to get me through the last bit of Christmas shopping we had to get done.

Before shopping for others, Justin and I headed next door to DSW to get some new shoes for ourselves…which ended in me getting two pairs and Justin zero and then over to the Aveda salon for some new skin and hair care products for meeeeee!  

When we got home, I got busy making one more kind of candy.  These little tasty treats are addicting! My sister made them for our cookie exchange, but I gave all those away.  I have been wanting to make them so I could eat more of them add them to my treat gift boxes.

I made about 100 of them and added them to the boxes I already had started with peanut brittle and chocolate covered pretzels.  These little tasty treats are made of a pretzel, a rolo and a pecan!  I set my oven to 300 degrees, placed a rolo on top of each pretzel and put them in the oven.  I stayed closed and just as the rolo started to get soft, I took them out and pressed a pecan into the top of the rolo!  They are seriously delicious and have I already said addicting?!

I took one over to the in laws tonight so I could eat more share with others!

After I got all the candy done, I needed to get something into my belly or I was just going to start mowing through the candy!  So I had some brown rice with peas and carrots and egg whites. I threw a couple of whole eggs into it too.  It really hit the spot.  I added a little “less sodium” soy sauce to it as well. I forgot to take a picture of the meal yesterday, so here is a pic from this morning of the left over rice and the carton of egg whites, you get the idea!

For dinner, we went over to my PIL’s house.  Justin and I brought the appetizers of salami, cheese and shrimp.  My MIL had bought steaks for Justin to cook (he makes some awesome steaks!) and then she made sweet potatoes and asparagus to go with it.  Of course, we drank some wine too!  It was a great night!


Isn’t that so pretty!  My MIL really knows how to make a table setting!  We were home by 10:30p and I’m pretty sure I was asleep by 10:35pm!
