Push!

Goooooood Morning!  It’s Friday and, Friends, my body is feeling it!  I woke up with a body that is sore and tired.  I’ve got my mind right, though, and today’s another big workout day.  Need to push through! I see lots of protein in my future and glutamine and BCAA’s!

Nothing too exciting happened yesterday.  I went to the gym for some cardio, we took the girls for a walk, ran a couple of errands and that’s about it.  It was a beautiful day.  The sun was out all day.  It’s amazing what a difference that makes. (which reminds me, I need to take some Vitamin D today!)

Workout

Yesterday started with the gym.  I felt like running and getting sweaty.

I jogged at 6 mph for 3 miles, then dropped the speed and raised the incline to 15 and walked at varying speeds for a mile.  Tried to keep it at 3.0 or 3.5 mph, but at one point I dropped it to 2.5 mph. After a mile of that, I dropped the incline and jogged it out at 6.0mph for the remainder of the hour.  At the very end of each mile I jogged (last 1/10), I increased my speed to 7mph.  It wasn’t for very long, but I am not a fast runner, so 7.0 felt very fast.  I’m going to keep doing that and increase the distance each time.
