Two-a-Days

Sara has definitely come out of her shy little shell and is showing her puppy skills.  She likes to carry socks around and she has chewed through one of my bra straps and on of my hand wraps from Title Boxing. Oh and tampons, she like to select them one by one from the box, carry them to her bed and chew on them.  She is keeping us on our toes and making us pick up after ourselves, that’s for sure!

I took them for their walk yesterday morning and then they played outside for most of the day.  It was so nice out!

The Gym

I told you that I joined the Y, so yesterday I took my friend’s Step class in the morning.  I loved it! It was packed with energy and a lot of fun. But I felt so uncoordinated!  My friend assured me that I will pick up the movements after a couple of classes! I hope so!  It was comical at times.  I felt like I was just spinning in circles while everyone else was effortlessly carrying themselves up and over their step with their arms coordinating with their legs.  My arms were definitely NOT coordinating with my legs!

THEN! I went back in the evening and took a boot camp class.  Holy crap! It was hard.  The first thing she said was “Leap Frogs down the room and back, then sprints, then jumping jacks”  I was like, oooooh nooooo, this is going to be brutal!

I felt great last night when we were all tucked in watching TV.  I felt like I had accomplished something.

Meals

Meal #1: Protein powder mixed with dark chocolate almond milk, 1 tablespoon almond butter, 1/4 cup (plus a little more) Udi’s granola

Looks like I only had four meals yesterday but I ate a pretty hearty portion of gluten free pretzels while cooking the turkey, noodles and broccoli.  I also snacked on almonds and wasabi peas while watching TV in the evening.

  1. I did a step class the other night. My first in YEARS and I felt like a fool myself :) By the time I caught on to what we were doing they were moving onto something else LOL! Boot camp is insane isn't it? I love the torture! Have a great day!

  2. I have no coordination whatsoever! I have tried the group classes on a few occasions and sadly gave it up....I think I work better when I am used to same EASY repetitive motions :)
