Seeing Black and White

Yesterday was Sunday, but it started at the same time as any other day, 5am.  My internal alarm clock is set and once my eyes open at 5am, I am UP!

I started the day with a bowl of oats with protein powder.

Yesterday, I mentioned making some purchases at the Harvest Ball Society brunch and fashion show, but I didn’t have pictures yet.

I fell in love with this jacket as soon as I saw it in the Quotations Boutique, but I had to think about it for awhile as it was a little pricey.  I kept going back to it and tried it on a couple of times.  I finally called Justin and he said GET IT!

I love it.  It is the perfect fall jacket! (Why can’t I ever have make-up on when I decide to take pictures?)

My next purchase was from Rene Nix, owner of Windsong Creations.  She makes jewelry.  It is such a neat concept.  She had plates of beads sitting around (wish I would have taken a picture!) and you picked whatever bead or beads you wanted and then she would make you a ring or necklace or cuff bracelet, whatever you wanted on the spot. She used heavy gauge wire for the rings and cuffs and then ribbon or leather or chain material for the necklaces.  I chose two beads for a ring:

My final purchase was a Mische bag!  I have wanted one of these since I learned about them from Justin’s Stepmom, Jane.  If you haven’t heard about them, you buy a base bag and then shells to go over it.  So, when you want to carry a different person, instead of transferring all your crap to a new purse, you just slide the base bag out of the shell and put it in a new one!  I chose the big bag as a base with the following shell:

It comes with solid black handles but I opted to purchase the handles with the chains.

Evidently, I was in a black and white mood on Saturday!  I am so excited about my purchases! Love them!  I am excited to collect more shells for my big bag now!

Meal #2: Egg whites and gluten free toast

I spent the afternoon and evening at my sister, Vann’s house working on craft projects for her wedding.  I brought my camera and had every intention of taking pictures, but failed.  We got a lot done.  She has some great ideas and her wedding and reception is going to be such a great reflection of her (and Matt, of course)!

Justin asked me to pick up some Arthur Bryant’s BBQ on the way home.  I ended up getting myself something as well.

Meal #4: Sliced turkey with fries and BBQ Sauce.

2011September 019

I bought a bottle of their BBQ sauce because I couldn’t remember if we like to eat their sauce when we ate their food. Nope.  We both can not stand their sauce!  I’m a Gates BBQ Sauce girl all the way!  Sorry Arthur Bryant fans!

That was about it for yesterday!

Hope everyone is having a great start to their week!
