A Great Start

I had a great start to my week! Yesterday began with an extra long walk with the knuckle heads while it was still cool…well, not really cool but not blistering hot!

After our walk, it was time for breakfast!  I was craving oats and protein powder.  I added a peach to my oats and then drizzled with vanilla ice cream protein powder. It was like delicious peach cobbler for breakfast!

Then it was time to get everyone moving in our house and out for the day, so I could get to Title Boxing!  Whew, of course, it was a total sweat fest.  We ran outside for 10 or 15 minutes and then we punched and kicked the crap out of the bags while he yelled at us.  There was also an insane amount of sit ups, pushups, squat jumps, lunges, mountain climbers, and squat thrusts mixed in too.  Oh and duck walks around the room! Don’t want to forget those, that was the point when I thought I might just lay down and die.

Needless to say, I was starving when I got home.  First things first, fill up the pool!  So, while that filled I ate egg whites and gluten free toast.

After the pool filled, it needed to warm up just a bit before I could lay in it, so we ran a couple of errands.  One of the errands was to Yogurtini!

I promise there is some yogurt in there, it’s not just a cup of candy!

I ate two brown rice cakes when I got home.  One with hummus and one with peanut butter.

Pool time!  Justin and the girls caught me napping.

Life is good.

Too bad I have such fair skin, I could stay out there forever.  I prefer not to have sun poisoning (or skin cancer) though, so I stayed out there for a little over an hour and then dragged myself inside.

I made myself some brown rice noodles with veggie and ground turkey.  I did something a little different with the veggies this time.  I threw them in the food processor for a minute and made like a pesto consistency.  I used onion, tomato, raw broccoli, and roasted brussel sprouts. The veggie mixture and ground turkey went into a hot pan with some olive oil for a couple of minutes to warm up and then got mixed in with the noodles.

For dinner, I used the left over veggie mixture and added it to some egg whites. (Again, tasted a lot better than it looks!)

So that was my Monday!  Hope you all had a fab-u-lous start to your week!
