Birthday and Baseball

2011July 002

I had such a fun Saturday!  Justin left bright and early to go play golf with his Dad, step brother and step brother in law.  I got busy cooking and cleaning for my Mom’s birthday party.  I didn’t actually cook anything for her party but I needed to cook some chicken and hamburger we had thawed.  So, at 6am I was baking chicken and making mini meat loaves.

I got a lot of cleaning and organizing done in our room of hell spare bedroom.  I need to set up an ebay shop, bad.  We have too much stuff that we just don’t use but I don’t know what to do with it.  It has all gone to live in the spare bedroom.  I don’t like garage sales, so I think I should just try the ebay thing.  I have never looked into it so I don’t know where to start.  I guess I should just dive right in!

So, let me just get this out of the way, my food choices were poor and I did not exercise.  It was still a fun day! Winking smile

My Step-Dad brought pizza.

Of which, I had two pieces.

I made a chocolate éclair dessert that is made with graham crackers and pudding. I didn’t come up with the recipe, there are a million of them out there.  I’ll do a separate post so it doesn’t get buried in this one, though.  It’s so easy, once you make it, you’ll never need a recipe for it again!

I made it for my sister, Vann’s, graduation party, but I was in comp prep so I didn’t get to taste it.  I have been waiting for the opportunity to make it, so this was perfect.

It did not disappoint.  It is so easy to make and so good! Everyone loved it.  I could have eaten the whole pan!

After my Mom’s party (by the way she loved her present), we met up with my sister, Vann, and her fiancé, Matt, and headed to the Royals Game.  We got out there super early because we wanted to get seats inside, since it was over 100 degrees!

It worked out perfect.  We snagged a great four top to watch the game from in the cool air conditioning!

It was so chilly, in fact, that I went from this (by the way, it was lady’s night and they gave the first 10,000 girls a free hat!):

And what you can’t see is that I have a beach towel (which I got for free while standing in line buying that t-shirt) covering my legs!  Bwhahahaha!  It was awesome!

I ate a hot dog and shared some chicken fingers with french fries with Justin.  We were both disappointed in both selections! Darn. The chicken fingers were the worst.  We got four chicken fingers and then a ton of fries that were NOT tasty.  We ended up throwing most of them away (and we paid $11.25 for them!)

It was a lot of fun. Justin and Matt were both super tired.  Matt had also played golf yesterday, so they were exhausted from all the sun and heat.  We were home by 9:30pm.  I’m pretty sure Justin was asleep at 9:35p.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Talk to ya’ll tomorrow!

  2. Your blog post is pure food porn for me today! That chocolate éclair dessert looks so heavenly if I lived closer to you, after my competition, I would be marching over to your home, knocking on your door, wearing some elastic pants to have a pan of it!
