Pay it Forward

I am taking all the lessons I have learned over the past two years and paying them forward.  My Mom, my Stepdad and my older Sister all let me know that they want to lose weight. Let’s do it!

We got together, yesterday to go over everything.  My Sister came over in the morning and we discussed diet and exercise and then my Mom and Stepdad came over in the afternoon and we did the same.  Everyone went grocery shopping yesterday and they are set and ready to go for the week!  I am so pumped!  They are about to change their life and feel 20 years younger!

This will help me out, too.  I need to tighten things back up in my diet and refocus!  Going over everything yesterday, reminded me of what I need to get back to as well.

I ran 3 miles yesterday morning and ate the following meals:

Chobani Blueberry Yogurt with a Godwin Bar broken into it.  Forgot to take a picture of it, but here’s an old one to give you the idea! ha! (imagine that’s a blueberry yogurt and imagine that bar is in pieces in that yogurt! Winking smile)

Next up was a protein smoothie/ice cream:

  • almond milk
  • whole frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • handful of spinach
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder

I also snacked on NutThins (cheddar cheese), almonds, gluten free pretzels with Nutella smeared on them.

It was an awesome Sunday!  I love talking about nutrition and exercising!

  1. I am not sure what happens when I respond to a question on my blog so here is some info re comments in the blog section : )

I can definitely help you with that! Its a program you can apply (or download i guess) to your blog called DISQUS. And it really is user friendly! Once on Disqus it will telly ou how to download for blogger and add the "widget" to your blog.

Blog question for you....how did you get the new domain name? I want one!

As for your food. this protein Ice Cream looks to die for another one of the things I will be making post competition.

And gluten free pretzels! I have never seen those before!

I think i may have an intolerance to gluten (which I didn't realise before the comp training) I had some cereal when I was home this weekend (I know I shouldnt have :S) but my mouth swelled up and felt puffy and funny. That was enough to make it not worth it...:S

  2. A Fine Balance: Thanks for the info on Disqus. I'm going to try that for sure. I love how yours looks.
I went through Blogger to purchase my Domain Name. Go to your "settings" and then "publishing" and then it walks you right through it!
I also discovered my intolerance for gluten through this whole transformation process last year! Just another reason to eat good food!

Dreaming of Arnold: Thank you!! :)

  8. I agree with all the above comments--the new blog looks amazing! YOU look amazing! Now stop taunting me with pics of delicious food ;) Yesterday my mom gave me her credit card to go over to Target after I went running with my sister (the store is literally right across the street from her condo), and I must admit, I stood in the snack-y aisle for the better part of 5 minutes just taking it all in with my eyes. Yes, I'm that lame!
