Operation: No Candy

Blogger is driving me crazy.  I can’t comment on anyone’s blogs!  I’m thinking about you Mrs. Britton at Finding my Northstar! This is your week!  Everyone told me it was all mental this week and they were right!  Keep yourself busy and task oriented. That seemed to help with my nerves.  Also, ENJOY every minute.  It goes so fast!  You have been working so hard for a lot of weeks, enjoy every minute of this week and next weekend!

I did well yesterday with not eating any candy.  There was even a bag of candy bars and Reese’s eggs we forgot about, so they didn’t get sent to the day hab, that I didn’t touch!  If you read my post from yesterday, you know I had some ice cream with graham crackers.  Later in the day, I ate two more graham crackers sheets with Nutella. (by the way, with all the talk about Nutella, I thought it was some how good for you…like a healthier option than say, ice cream or candy…what the heck, people, it’s like eating icing! It’s terrible for you!  And now it’s in my pantry! LOL!)  Today’s goal is NO treats!  If I want something sweet, I’m going to make a healthy version of whatever I am craving or eat a piece of fruit!

For dinner, I ate a burger made with lean hamburger (93%) topped with onion, lettuce and Gates BBQ sauce!  I had brussel sprouts on the side.  I powered through it so fast, I forgot all about taking a picture!  I’ll force myself to eat it again today so I can get a picture of all it’s deliciousness!

Around 7pm or so I started feeling snacky and hungry again.  I grabbed some almonds and started walking around the house eating them (because I can do that now!).  No more hiding behind the refrigerator door, I can walk around and openly eat almonds.  Until Justin saw me and started giving me the lecture of…..if your hungry eat protein not fat….booooo..who invited that guy?!

But, back to the kitchen I went, pouting (and snagging a few more almonds before putting them away, because I turn into a three you year old when someone tries to tell me what to do).  I fixed myself a protein shake with 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder, 1 cup of almond milk and 1/2 a frozen banana and sat in our bed and drank it while watching The Biggest Loser.

I’ll leave you this morning with a picture of my complete transformation.  My before picture was taken in January 2009, at my heaviest, 210lb.  The after is,obviously, at last weekend’s show (May 2011), weighing 128lb.

Anything is possible when you set a goal and

get rid of the excuses!

  5. Stacy- I cannot tell you enough how proud I am of you and your journey! Seeing the photos from the beginning to now is truly an INSPIRATION! I have followed your blog now since right before I completed my transformation and although I didn't comment all the time, I read it everyday! Thank you for sharing your journey with us, I loved your honesty throughout the entire process.

Watching you on that stage was AMAZING and brought tears to my eyes, you were absolutely GORGEOUS! I know where you started (starting at 192 myself) and the battles you faced daily. You have given me a new dedication to strive a little harder to push myself to next level (no competing for me, but would love to lose another 15-20 lbs). Keep sharing with us and motivating us all to find our inner beauty!

    Hugs,
    Christy
