47 Days Out

For the first time in my “womanly” life, I am going through “that time of the month” with no cramps.  I don’t even have words to describe how good I feel!  I have been more tired than normal and yesterday I was extra hungry but NO CRAMPS! Could this new lifestyle be giving me back a week of my life each month?  Could this mean no more spending two days in bed with a heating pad?  And no more anxiety the whole week before in anticipation of how bad the cramps are going to be?  We’ll see what happens next month but, for now, I am just going to enjoy my new freedom!!

Yesterday, like I said above, was a HUNGRY day!  Actually, I don’t think I was hungry, but I desperately wanted something to eat all day.  I ate twice the amount of almonds I am supposed to eat and a couple extra ounces of deli turkey meat, but that’s it.  I thought about the bag of raw almonds all day!  So, the extra serving that I had was nothing in comparison to what I wanted to put down.  I just wanted to keep eating them.  I even had the whole bag in my hand at one point and whined to Justin that I needed them and he promptly told me to put them back and drink some cold water. So, I did. What I really wanted to do was drive to Quick Trip and buy the biggest bag of peanut butter M&M’s and eat the whole thing!

Hormones are evil sometimes!  I got through it though.  I am in control of what I put in my mouth.

I reluctantly went down to the weight room with Justin and did a very wimpy set of chest exercises.  Better than nothing!  Did I mention that yesterday was a low carb day? I was feeling it.

I ate quite a few sugar free Jell-Os, a whole pickle, more almonds than I was supposed and chewed countless pieces of gum!  It was just one of those days.

I looked at a lot of food porn yesterday evening and dreamt of chocolate and caramel and peanut butter desserts all night!

  2. I just found your blog! Happy to watch you go through prep. Your progress shots are amazing- your body responded so well and so fast! You will have no problems come show date. What show are you doing and where? Good luck to you, you look great!
