29 Days Out

Good Morning, Friday!  I woke up to the sound of thunder and rain this morning!  Aaaaah, Spring!  Normally, I wouldn’t mind that sound but this morning it means I won’t be running outside! Bummer.  April showers bring May flowers, right?

Yesterday was another busy day.  After my morning workouts and meals, I had an appointment to get the “real deal” wax, the Brazilian.   It went well. I just love the girl that does my waxing.  We just talk through the whole appointment and she is so calming.  Don’t get me wrong, it hurt like…..well, I don’t even have anything to compare it to, that’s how bad it hurts!  It’s only that 2 seconds when she rips that paper off that it hurts, but knowing it’s coming is the worst part!  When she’s done, though, it’s all over.  There is no pain or redness, nothing.  I think I love it!

Once the wax was done, it was time for my facial!  I have only had one facial in my life and it was not a good experience.  This facial was awesome.  So relaxing.  I felt so refreshed and ready to take better care of my skin when she was done.  She also waxed and died my eye brows!  Justin and I are NOT used to them yet. They look kind of funny to us still.  I think when I get some makeup on they will be less noticeable.  I just have such light features, so to come home with eye brows all of a sudden, it’s all we can see!

I had time to eat and pick up around the house and then Justin headed out to hit golf balls and our cleaning lady showed up.  She normally comes on Sundays, but this Sunday is Easter.  Our house is sparkly and clean once again!

By the time the cleaning lady left and Justin got home, I was starting to get really tired.  Luckily, my brother and his wife (Holla!) stopped by to show us a beautiful new truck they just purchased! And Becky, tell Chaz that is an awfully nice graduation gift he just gave you! Winking smile  That perked me up and I headed out the door to the cardio class at the karate school.  I was starving and exhausted by the time I got home.

Workouts:

  • Morning cardio: ran 5 miles and walked the girls
  • Warehouse workout
  • Cardio class at the karate school

I totally forgot to lift weights!  I was going to do it when I got home from my facial, but then with Justin leaving and the cleaning lady being here, it completely slipped my mind!  It was glutes and hammies day, so I’ll stick those in with shoulders on Saturday.  I am going back to making daily To-Do lists effective immediately!  Obviously, I am starting to not remember things and it’s only going to get worse!

Notice anything different about my meals yesterday?  GRAPEFRUIT!!!  My diet got tweaked a little and grapefruit got added!  Holy smokes! My taste buds were so happy!  I haven’t had a piece of fruit, or any sugar for that matter, since February 7th!  That first bite was so juicy and sweet and just filled my mouth with happiness!!  I can’t wait to have some more today! (my mouth is watering just typing those words!)

I wasn’t very snacky yesterday.  I think I ate two whole pickles all day and my serving (well maybe a few more than my serving) of almonds for snacks.  I was pretty hungry when I got home from the cardio class, so while my food cooked, I cut up a whole large cucumber and ate the whole thing!

I was so tired when I hit the bed and slept like a log!

  2. Waxing is painful but so necessary for the tiny suits! Beauty prep stuff is fun to do and gives you a break from thinking/stressing about meals and training.

Hope you have a good shoulders day tomorrow!

  3. You're lucky you have only had a couple of days of rain. I'm interning with local television meteorologists in Charlottesville currently, and we seem to have some amount of rain practically every day. And if it doesn't rain, there's always that chance for rain/storms. On a brighter note, yay for grapefruit!!
