23 Days Out

Yesterday was a great day.  A high carb GREAT day!  Which means I am still filled up with energy today. Hooray!  Good thing too because I have a busy day ahead of me.

News Update: I have a suit!  I’ll take my progress pictures in it this Sunday so you all can see it.  Man, that other suit was waaaay too small after trying this one on.  It was like a suit for a little kid compared to this suit.  What was I thinking?!  The new suit is very special too because it belonged to another client of Diana’s.  She went through her transformation the same time I did in 2009 and got on stage that year in THIS suit and won TWO trophies!  It’s neat that she is handing it down to me to carry the torch of the “Transformation Suit” (as we are now calling it).  Just goes to show that great situations can come from bad situations.

I did more posing with Diana yesterday.  The leaner I get the more loose skin shows up. Ugh! I can’t believe I have lose skin.  I don’t even have any kids to blame it on!  It is what it is.  I just have to be super aware of my stomach while on stage.  I will be thinking “TALL” while I’m up there, shoulders back, stretch that stomach out! LOL!

After trying on my new suit, I stuck around and talked with a couple of girls who are also competing.  We were mapping out our day together.  It is going to be so much fun!  Getting on stage is just going to be the icing on the cake.  The friendships I am developing because of this experience, I’ll have for life! 

Workouts:

  • Morning Cardio: 60 minutes on treadmill
  • Weights: Hammies and Glutes (with Diana)
  • Round 2 Cardio: 30 minutes on treadmill, 30 minutes on spin bike

I snacked on whole pickles.  With all that food, I wasn’t very snacky!

I lost another 1% body fat!  We are taking measurements every week now and while the scale isn’t moving (due to that T.O.M. in a few days) my body fat did!  *high five*

  1. I just drooled over your turkey burger...my god that looks delicious! My diet is so strict with being one week out!! Mmm can't wait to add a little more variety :)

  2. I totally understand the loose skin issue. I have it on my tummy from three kids (three c-sections). I hate it and I know the elasticity may take years to come back. You're right, stand tall and suck it in =) YAY for one more % BF loss!!!

  3. I'm so jealous of your high carb day! Today is the first day that my carb depletion this week has my energy levels SO LOW! Well probably a mix of that and not getting enough sleep :( You're so close girl! And congrats on the suit!! I hope it brings you great luck!

  4. Yay! What a fabulous day! The suit sounds like a good luck charm. I have two words for you about loose skin.. "Bikini Bite" :-) The new spray they have (not so new now anymore I guess?) lets you spray it in odd places and tuck skin away to make the skin that stays out look nice and tight:-) hehe It's my secret little friend.

    You are freakin' rockin' it! Woot Woot! Great work. I'm really and truly SO excited and inspired by you. You honestly have no idea how much I look forward to your blog every single day and how motivated I get from reading it. Thank you so much!
