Another Late Post

My mornings are getting away from me and I am not leaving myself with enough time to write in my blog!  I need to get my priorities straight!

Now it’s so far into today, it’s hard to remember what happened yesterday! ha!  Let me try.

I was able to run outside yesterday morning for my fasting cardio.  I ran 5 miles then leashed up the girls and we headed out for their walk/run.  The 5 miles felt great.  I haven’t ran 5 miles since last spring.  It feels like a respectable number that I can stick with for a while.  Plus, 5 miles a day, 6 days a week is 30 miles and that’s a nice round number!  I like it!

Meal #1: Oats with protein

Then, I headed to the warehouse, where we did the following four times:

  • stability ball crosses
  • dumb bell punches
  • russian twists
  • kettlebell swings
  • weighted chair kick overs
  • super kamakaze pushups
  • jungle gym hamstring curls
  • resistance shuffles

I was WORN out! I came home and ate another serving of oats with protein for Meal #2.  Yesterday was a low carb day so that was all the carbs I was going to eat.  After about an hour or so, Justin and I headed downstairs to lift weights.  I did four sets of the following:

  • Overhead press
  • Upright row
  • Front raise
  • High Knees
  • Lateral raises
  • Pike pushups
  • Rear delt raises (laying face down on floor!)
  • jumping jacks
  • Single arm lateral raise (leaning against the inclined bench on my side)

My shoulders are so sore today from this workout!  After the workout,  I jumped on the elliptical for 15 minutes.

Meal #3: Egg whites, green and red bell peppers, onion

Meal #5: Taco Salad (spinach, baby romaine, nacho cheese popcorn seasoning, ground turkey, taco bell fire, hot, and mild sauce)  My taco salad prep time would be drastically less if they would sell Taco Bell sauce by the bottle!

I was hungry yesterday.  I kept my tummy quiet with almonds, pickles and sugar free gum.

I watched the Biggest Loser and then Justin and I ended the night with 15 minute back rubs.  The perfect way to end every day (and we do quite often!).  I always fall asleep about 5 minutes into mine! Darn it!
