Rest Day

Today is a much needed rest day (I wish I was in Mexico in that hammock!).  My body is tired!  I just don’t have any energy.  I woke up feeling kind of anxious and heavy headed and blah!  Not like I’m getting sick, but just worn out, I think.  Hoping a couple cups of coffee will give me back my energy!  I am thinking I will do some yoga today too.  I need the meditation and the stretches!

Progress pictures are up! I can’t really see any changes from 2 weeks ago.  It is so darn bright in our living room.  I need to find a better place to take these pictures so we can see details!  Any little difference from one week to the next is a success to me, so I want to be able to see it!

Yesterday was a great day!  The weather was nice so I did my morning cardio outside!  It felt so good!

Workouts:

  • Morning Cardio
    • Ran outside – 40 minutes
    • Jog/Brisk walk with my dogs – 20 minutes (they were sooooo excited!)
  • Weights (3 sets)
    • Triceps
      • Rope pull downs
      • Overhead extensions with rope
      • Skull crushers
    • Biceps
      • Curls with rope
      • Preacher curls
      • Wide grip curls with easy bar

I got a good workout in, but I was glad when it was over. I think being tired and wanting it to be over made me power through harder and faster!

Food:

Meal #1: Oats and protein (mmmmm chocolaty delicious!)

Meal #3: Mahi Mahi, green beans, sweet potato (Brutis was hoping I was sharing!) Everything on my plate looks wet because I had just drenched my fish with LEMON!

Justin has been so good about not bringing delicious temptations around me, until last night.  He made these delicious looking little things!

He cooked the wings all day in the crockpot with Frank’s Red Hot, vinegar, butter.  Then he broiled them for a couple of minutes on each side.  Then he tossed them in BBQ sauce!

At least it wasn’t a big fat chocolate cake with caramel and peanut butter, covered in chocolate whipped icing….with chocolate ice cream on the side with chunks of Snickers! Drool-ool-ool-ooling!!!!
