Pictures Galore

2011February 035We may be buried in snow drifts knee high around here, but the sun is out and that makes everything look beautiful!  Evidently, I had a lot of time on my hands yesterday, with being stuck in the house and all, and ended up with a lot of pictures!

The blizzard yesterday was quite a site. We couldn’t help but just stand in the window and watch!  The drift on our deck just kept growing!  Watching the news was like seeing scenes from a movie.  Everything was shut down, there were white out conditions, the highways looked scary.  I couldn’t believe anyone was even out!

The girls got out for a little bit and ran around.

It was quite an exciting day!

My workouts were pretty exciting too!  I decided to do a DVD from the Insanity package.  Holy Moly!  I forgot how much those kick my butt!

Katy had to check on me several times due to all the grunting and laboring to breath! 

So that was my morning cardio. 

A couple of hours later, I headed back downstairs and did the following workout 4 times that Diana had sent me:

  • Warmed up on elliptical for 3 minutes
  • Weighted lunges
  • Romanian deadlifts
  • 3 minutes on elliptical
  • Leg curls
  • Weighted, single leg bridge
  • 5 minutes on elliptical

I was worn out the rest of the day!

My diet looked like this:

Meal #1: Oats and protein

Meal #2:  Egg whites and steamed broccoli.  I sprinkled the broccoli with Molly McButter and Oh. My. Gosh. it is delicious!

Meal #3: Tuna salad (spicy mustard, regular mustard, dill relish), 1 slice brown rice toast

Meal #4: Egg whites, steamed broccoli (I got a picture before the Molly McButter melted this time!) It was so good I had to have it again!

Meal #5: Protein shake and almonds.

I see lots of shoveling in my future today with Justin, so I better get busy.  I slept in this morning so my whole schedule has been pushed back.  With all these snow days we are having, I am getting used to no alarm and sleeping in!
