“This may be the day I pass out!”

It’s Tuesday and that means no warehouse workout for me today.  I will be lifting weights at home.  I paid for three days a week this month since I start with Diana on the 26th and will be working with her two days a week.  I guess that will only be the last week of January, oh well, it’s good for me to workout on my own, at home sometimes.  I have to have some self motivation!

Yesterday’s workout at the warehouse was B.R.U.T.A.L.!  I seriously thought to myself at one point, “this may be the day I pass out”.  We did the following 8 times!!

  • Incline bench
  • Plank rows
  • Step ups
  • Single arm tricep press down
  • Jumping lunges (or split squats, whatever you want to call them!)
  • Jump rope
  • Long Jumps

I was exhausted by the end!  It was a lot of jumping!  And a lot of reps per exercise!  He was going to have me do abs at the end and then took one look at my face (which was bright red and dripping with sweat!) and said we’ll hit those Wednesday!  Thank goodness!

My diet looked like this yesterday:

Meal #1: Banana and Oats with protein

Meal #2: Egg whites, turkey bacon, gluten free toast

Meal #3: Lunch with a friend at TomFooleries: Chicken/Veggie skewers with wild rice and a Thai glaze (if I go here again during comp prep, I will order this without the glaze or the rice and add a side salad)

Meal #4: Ground chicken and brown rice with peas and carrots.

Meal #5: Two whole eggs, turkey bacon and gluten free toast (nothing else really sounded good!)  I snacked on some green olives while cooking!

My stomach felt a little upset last night for some reason, so we didn’t do the elliptical for an hour while watching TV.  I should have just made myself do it.  We will do it tonight for sure!

I am feeling really great with the workouts and the diet.  By the end of the week, I am definitely tired and ready to rest, but so far so good!  Mentally, I feel strong and relaxed about the whole process.  I can do this!
