Should I Start the Countdown?

 

I am debating on when I should start the countdown to the figure competition.  It is May 21st.  I did the countdown last year as the title of each post and it sure made thinking up a title every morning easy!  I guess I made my decision for this morning, so I’ll see how I feel tomorrow morning!  It is definitely on my mind though!  Four months is going to go fast!  I start back with Diana in a week and a half!

Yesterday was wonderful!  It was NOT a snow day or a cold day, so everyone went back to their normal routine around here and it felt great!

My exercise for the day looked like this:

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical, got everyone up for the day and then headed to the warehouse.  I was there for almost 2 hours.  We did the following 5 times:

  • Incline rows
  • Lat pull downs
  • Weighted reverse lunge with knee up
  • Neck pulls
  • Weighted step ups
  • Iron cross
  • Weighted side lunge

Then, he had me hop on the treadmill and do a 30 minutes program.  It was ROUGH!

In the evening, Justin and I watched an hour of TV from our cardio machines.  I didn’t think I could do the elliptical again because my body was already so tired.  So Justin started off on the elliptical and I started on the treadmill.  He did it as long as he could (he’s not as used to the elliptical as I am) and then we switched.  It wasn’t so bad.  I think warming up on the treadmill made the elliptical a little easier.   I was definitely tired by the end though and was asleep by 9pm!

My diet for the day consisted of:

Meal #1: Banana, Oats with protein (post morning cardio, pre workout)

Meal #2: Apple, Egg whites, Turkey Bacon, Gluten Free Toast (post workout)

Meal #3: Can of Tuna with dill relish and spicy mustard, Green Olives

Meal #4: Ground Chicken (seasoned with Mrs. Dash Table Blend), Brown Rice, Peas, Carrots.  Not very colorful or pretty, but tasted yummy!

Meal #5:  2 Whole Eggs, Gluten Free Toast

I drank BCAA’s and Glutamine while I worked out at the warehouse and got in a gallon of water throughout the day!

I was a little tired yesterday, but not too bad.  I really concentrated on getting five meals in to fuel all my exercise.  I felt like I was either preparing a meal, eating a meal or thinking about doing one of those things all day!  It paid off though!  Although, after looking back through these pictures, I need to eat some veggies today! 

I slept so good last night and feel refreshed and ready to go today!
