Enough Dilly-Dallying

The holidays were so fun!  We have been filled to the brim with friends, family and festivities since November!  I have loved every minute of it, but, much like our little girl pictured above, I’m tired!

It’s time to rest up and get focused!  I have my eye on the prize and that prize is getting my fanny on stage on May 22, 2011 at the WBFF Figure Competition!

This is my trainer, Diana Chaloux, at the WBFF competition in Toronto.  They are bringing the WBFF to the US and this is where I will be in May!

I read through my blogs from last year .  I read through all of January and it was good to refresh myself on the cardio I need to be doing and just to see how I was doing with my diet and other workouts. It was also good to refresh myself on how I was doing mentally a year ago with the idea of a figure competition.  I feel like I am in a much better place this year.  Not so stressed and anxious about everything.  I know I have a lot of work ahead of me and I know it’s not going to be easy, but I’m excited this time around and I’m ready! So, this morning I start morning cardio!  Pre-breakfast, 35 minutes, steady state.  Then I’ll go workout at the warehouse.

I weighed in yesterday morning and up was 4 lbs, but it was all water because this morning I am back to my pre-New Orleans weight!!  WooHoo!  It’ going to take about a week to get my body back to normal after all the carbs and alcohol I drank this past month.  So, I’m going to have to work through the tired and cranky feelings!

Yesterday, I RESTED!  I was so tired and foggy all day.  Oh, and my intestines were in knots all day due to the gluten I have been eating for a week! Sad smile  I drank A LOT of water! I feel soooo much better today!

For breakfast, yesterday, I ate 1/2 cup of oats with one scoop of chocolate protein powder.2011January 001

For lunch, I ate a salad (Justin and I shared the amount in the picture) and brown rice with peas and carrots and two whole eggs.

For dinner, I made bean and cheese enchiladas. I ate a little less than two because part of my second one fell back into the pan.  I guess I wasn’t supposed to have that many! ha!

We are hitting the grocery store today and stocking up on comp prep food.  Justin is on board with this diet as well, so that always makes it easier!  We are both ready to cut the fat!
